For this song I wanted to make a more personal feeling track. Something that had honest lyrics and different from the normal heart break or relationship song. I made the track in A minor and the BPM is 128. It seem to fit well with the lyrics and the melody.  OriginalIy, I had an acoustic guitar but I scrapped that and added a synth and I added a sax because I felt it complimented the track to add a brass element.  The song is played out Verse, Pre-Chorus , Chorus. That repeats with a second verse. The lyrics I wanted to be relatable for everyone in some way. I felt that the lyrics were honest and motivational.

Key: A min
BPM: 128
Verse
Woke up feeling hungry
How we going to eat today
Fell asleep sometime this morning
Can’t sleep your dreams away
Pre-C
Following your dreams
It’s not so easy
You pay the cost for this freedom
You pay the cost..
Chorus
Yeah, you got to free yourself,
don’t let nobody tell nobody what you can’t do
let It go, you got to Free yourself
from all of the past that you’ve been through
You got to open up your mind, open up your soul
Open up your eyes cause there ain’t nowhere to go
Got to read between the lines cause in life you never know
The life you living now is the one that you chose
Got to free yourself
Verse
I’m just trying to find the connection,
Crystals around my neck for protection
The energy you seek is the energy you keep
And all I want to do is break the chains and be free
